INCLUSIVE EDUCATION, by Derik Shimoli
The storyline of this documentary puts into perspective a special education system trend for visually impaired scholars, in a developing Third World country. It is set in a typical school session where a student gives an account of challenges encountered in a limited environment and underlying the absence of basic infrastructure (Braille reading and writing instrumentation) as well as assistive information and communication technologies.
This situation is not just a one-off need of a particular institution, it is indeed a national concern that is found tall throughout Africa. “Same script, different casts”.
On the spot here is the policy makers’ input who’s endeavor should be to facilitate this deficit.
The documentary aims at propelling an enabling education system that is adequately facilitated.
